Mellow Yellow.

My holiday is almost over! *real tears*

I wore my colour for summer today; yellow.

I remember, when I was younger, thinking I was too dark to wear certain colours- especially bright colours. I was taught to think this way. But I’m happy to say, I’m no longer brainwashed.

Yellow was made for my dark skin and I won’t let anyone tell me otherwise. A few years ago, my mother was having a get together at the house with her girlfriends and they invited this lady who determined what colours would suit your skin tone. Me, not minding my own business, decided to pop in and get her to do mine. She said a few colours but the colour that stuck was orange.

Before she said that, I would’ve never thought to wear orange because, like I said, I thought it was too bright for me. But I couldn’t fight science! My colour wheel said orange was for me, so I made it so. I’ve loved orange ever since then.

I decided for summer 2017 I would wear yellow as much as possible! You will see just how serious I am by the end of summer. To me, yellow is the colour of happiness. Even if I’m in a down mood and I wear yellow, I feel my mood lift slowly but surely.

Today I shot for a feature on my friend’s blog. I won’t give away the details but I will share it with you guys once it has been published. Here are some of the photos but look out for more!
